Last week I could spend a few days in Vienna. Well, I didn't look for any sights on the internet in advance. Still, I have heard that Vienna should be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Even my former professor for urban construction was so delighted with it. So I decided to go there with my family. I have been walking down the streets and I was overwhelmed. One big, awesome building after another. At the same time I was deeply ashamed, I couldn't tell which era those buildings were from. Damn, I studied architecture for almost two years. How can I be such oblivious. haha Moreover since I have been to Schönbrunn palace, I am quite interested in earlier Austrian monarchs. Yesterday I have watched the first Sissi movie with Romy Schneider (Isn't she so pretty?). Though I don't like love stories, this one was really sweet. It's just too bad that Elisabeth of Austria didn't love her Franz in real and spent most of the time outside Schönbrunn palace.
